Baby Black Bear

Currently I am working an oil field job and tend to end up in the middle of no where. Recently I dropped my camera lens and was so upset, I thought I broke it. Turns out all that broke was my filter, THANK GOODNESS!! I had been bringing my camera to work frequently until I dropped my lens. I missed one day and saw a baby black bear! I was so upset I missed out on the bear, so I brought my camera the next day, and guess what I saw! Another baby black bear. Here’s the shot I got of him! Enjoy!

Business Portrait

A few weeks ago I got an ad in the newspaper and it seemed to have done me some good. A very nice lady named Shannon, contacted me and wanted a business portrait done for work. I was a little unsure do to the fact I don’t have a studio yet! So I tried to use my two flashes but of course, that didn’t work. As stressed out as I could be, I contacted another photographer who I had interviewed and he kindly let me use his studio. Such a kind heart. These are some pretty basic photographs but I like the way it turned out. Enjoy!

Brookey

It was +10 outside today on a beautiful Alberta day. I happened to be babysitting my two year old niece, Brooke. Now, this little girl means the world to me. She brings the fun back into my life when I’m stressed out.

Brooke is a lot like me. She loves to be outside and play in the MUD! So I thought after we had our grilled cheese for lunch we should go out and play. I know my brother was wanting some new pictures and I need to start getting used to photographing kids so I grabbed my camera, got her all prettied up and went outside. Here are some of her adventures! Enjoy!

Easter Egg Hunt Part 1

I had the chance to photograph at the annual Boy’s and Girls Club Easter Egg hunt for the kids. The amount of people who came out to support the event was phenomenal. There were kids lined up on both sides of the field ready to grab every egg they could see. Parents were even running around with the kids with big smiles on their faces. I was lucky to be able to go down and photograph the excitement not only from the kids, but from the parents as well. Here’s just a few shots, more should be up soon! Enjoy!

Brother and Sister

A few weeks ago I got to do a shoot of my friend and his sister. It reminded me a lot of when my brother and I had to get photographs done. The whole “pretend” to love each other just for the photograph, haha. We all know brothers and sisters always love each other.

I was excited that the weather was finally nice and got myself a new reflector for my birthday, from my parents. Thanks Mom and Dad! Here’s my first Alberta photoshoot outside, Enjoy!

Just catching up

Hey guys,

So you’ve probably noticed I haven’t posted anything in a while. That’s because I just moved back to my home town and have been trying to settle in.

I do have a few shoots coming up and I will be sure to put some up! Thanks for your patience and all your support!

Sincerely,

Katelyn

The sky says a lot

I always loved taking photographs of what I call “Epic Skies.” I enjoy going out and photographing the sky during a sunset or right before a store. I find the intensity of the clouds  breath taking. Here is a shot that really catches my eye.

Enjoy!
